Full of Beans is a fun campaign to increase the global consumption of beans, peas and lentils by 2028.

They can improve the soil by fixing nitrogen which enriches the soil and can help other plants to grow nearby
They reduce the need for synthetic fertilisers
They use less water than many other crops and therefore help to conserve water
They take out carbon in the soil meaning they’re a low- carbon food source

They’re affordable to buy and easy to grow
They can be bought dry, tinned or jarred and they store well for long periods
They’re versatile and can be used in a wide range of dishes
